8.1.4. Removal and transmission installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Remove from the top part of transmission the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft (OBD) — try not to damage edges of the sensor.
  3. Remove forward and back sections of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see an illustration the Scheme of an arrangement of driveshafts and components of system of production of the fulfilled gases).
  4. Remove from AT assembly a charging tube of ATF and a tube of a cooler of ATF — at once закупорьте the open ends of lines and unions in order to avoid hit in dirt system.
  5. Remove driveshafts (see an illustration the Scheme of an arrangement of driveshafts and components of system of production of the fulfilled gases).
  6. Remove driving draft from a transfer case. Right after removal of the back driveshaft закупорьте an omental opening, try not to damage an epiploon and shlitsa of a sliding collar of the driveshaft.
  7. Remove from transmission a cable of a drive of switchings.
  8. Disconnect electroconducting from transmission and the VSS sensor.
  9. Remove a starter.
  10. Remove a knitsa and a back plate of fastening of transmission to the engine.
  11. Turn out bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a driving disk — for the purpose of ensuring serial access to bolts turn a cranked shaft.
  1. Prop up AT a special transmission jack.
  1. Disconnect from transmission a back support of a suspension bracket of the power unit.
  2. Turn out bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.
  3. Omit transmission assembled with a transfer case and take it from under the car.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of a tsiferblatny measuring instrument of plunzherny type estimate size of lateral palpation of a driving disk. Compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications (see. The transmission line), in case of need make disk replacement assembled with a gear wreath.
  1. Before hydrotransformer connection to a driving disk check depth of landing of the last "And" — the minimum admissible value makes 26.0 mm.
  1. Establish the hydrotransformer, then several times turn a cranked shaft for check of freedom of rotation of transmission.
  1. Tighten bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine with demanded effort.

    Length of bolts (l), mm:
    1 — 47.5
    2 — 58.0
    3 — 25.0
    Bolts of fastening of a knitsa to the engine — 20.0

  1. Installation of the remained components is made as it should be, the return to an order of their dismantle.
  2. In summary check ATF level (see. Head Routine maintenance) also make sure of serviceability of functioning of the lever of the selector.
  3. Squeeze out the parking brake and start the engine on single turns. Serially switch the selector lever in each of working provisions («N»> «D»> «2»> «1»> «R») — at each switching the lever should twitch slightly.
  4. Make trial runs of the car.
